It’s important to start!

Hello my dear readers, all 8 of you at this point! Woo-hoo!

When I first announced I’m starting a lifestyle blog, my uncle asked me: “Ok, what makes you an expert?”. He likes to ask provocative questions, :)). At first, I didn’t know what to answer, especially because I was far from being „an expert“! So I quickly replied that everybody is doing everything nowadays, and you don’t have to be an expert for blogging. Beginner mode, of course!

And then I was thinking… Most people think that way – before you start you have to have some special knowledge, experience or credibility. And they never start! I am not saying it’s not important, it is! But sometimes it’s far more important to simply start with something you like, and with hard work and motivation everything else will follow.

Look at all these beauty vloggers on Youtube! They haven’t all started with professional equipment, in perfect lightening with remarkable editing skills. In most cases, when you scroll down through their first video (am I the only one doing this?) you will see shy girl filming with her mobile phone in room with no lightening at all. Now many of them have 500k+ subscribers.

My point here is – you don’t have to be an expert, but what you have to be is passionate, motivated and persistent. And – you have to start!

Thank you for reading,

Love, Andrea ♥

  1. Beautiful start! I am new to the whole ” fashion blogging” game as well…its definitely a lot of work but if you’re passionate, just keep at it! At the end of the day, as long as you are doing something you love and are passionate about, don’t worry about the followers and likes, just keep at it because you love it! That’s what I’m telling myself at least 😀
